Welcome to the Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Program at ENCAP.
Since its’ inception Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership has been concerned with building self-sufficiency in the lives of people through our Behavioral Health Services. We have been on the frontline of advocating for widening the tributary for additional service delivery. Additionally, we have a long history of offering various program opportunities to strengthen the lives of individuals and families ranging from; Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment to providing Psychiatric and Psychological Evaluations and Medical Management. We offer various on site support groups to include Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous and Marijuana Anonymous. Behavior Health Services also includes a youth component through our partnership with Omaha Public Schools to provide on site Alcohol and Drug Education and Awareness Classes. We have established a reasonable and affordable sliding fee scale to extend additional opportunities to families and we accept Medicaid and Medicare as well.

The BHS Team
The BHS Team members are: Director, Mr Alex Gray, MA, NCC, LIMP, LPC, a Contracted Psychiatrist; Licensed Mental Health/Substance Abuse Therapists; and a Licensed Alcohol Abuse Counselors,. We Partner and provide training and supervision to students, interns and practicum students from Community Colleges, undergraduate and Graduate schools who may provide services under the supervision of a fully licensed team member.
All BHS professionals strickly adhere to the "Code of Ethics," dictated per their professional credentials.

Over the years, it has developed a special interest and expertise in working with culturally different groups; especially among African American communities. Because ethnicity/race, socio-economic status, and the other diverse characteristics of the consumer does affect the therapeutic relationship, the strengths and positive traditions from the cultural heritages of local families and communities are recognized, appreciated, and used to guide culturally appropriate approaches for service delivery in counseling. In addition, specific expertise has developed in meeting the counseling needs of men and women transitioning out of controlled environments. Emphasis is given to helping these individuals to further develop and maintain constructive behaviors promoting the substance free lifestyle of a law abiding citizen.
Treatment services at ENCAP are provided without regards to age, sex, gender indentity, sexual orientation, race, creed, ancestry, color, national origin, familial status, marital status, financial hardship, or disability.
You have a right to request or refuse treatment if the extent allowable under law. The to treatment at ENCAP is not absolute if your treatment recommendation from an assessment or evaluation requires services not provided by our outpatient program or it is in the best interest of the customer and ENCAP if the customer is referred elsewhere. Under these circumstances, you do have the right to know the reasons in writing for denial of any treatment services.
