We offer an array of services to strengthen families to include Emergency Financial Assistance, Case Management, Food Pantry, Free Tax Preparation to low income residents, Computer Lab and Training, Domestic Violence Support, Career Workshops and Career Clothing Closet for those in need of professional attire for interviews. We are offer on site GED and ESL classes to assist individuals along the track to self-sufficiency.
Family Development Services also supports independent living through Senior Citizen Program as well as returning citizens through our Support for Success Program which assists those with criminal and felony convictions in gaining full time employment and life skill development.

Ruth Matlock is the Senior Services Coordinator and arranges activities for the 80-90 seniors she has contact with every month. These activities include:
A Senior breakfast held at ENCAP’s north office the last Thursday of every month from 8am-noon which is a great way to socialize with friends and get information on current topics from the featured speaker
The Tuesday knitting club meet every week from 10am-noon and welcomes new participants
Telephone reassurance program that matches seniors in the program to one another for contact on a regular basis

ENCAP North office Successful Academic Learning Team, S.A.L.T, is the after school program that runs Mondays through Thursdays from 3pm-7pm. Programming is centered on 4 core groups: Academics, Health and Nutrition, The Arts, and Community Bridging. The program is open to youth 10-17 years of age. Transportation is provided at some area OPS schools. First Employment Experience Team, F.E.E.T, is the summer program that runs from June through August. The program is open to youth 14-18 years of age. The focus is on developing employability skills and gaining experience on work sites throughout the community. Success Academies are scheduled several times per year and are open to youth in the community. A variety of topics and presenters provide information on what it takes to be successful in school, careers and in life.

Tax Preparation
ENCAP has been a free tax preparation site for the community for over 30 years. Taxes are prepared out of the North Omaha, South Omaha office and the Sarpy County office in Bellevue. The following ENCAP locations offer free tax preparation from the end of January through April 15th. Call the office close to you to schedule an appointment.

• Support For Success
ENCAP’s Employment Initiative ENCAP North office
Support for Success is ENCAP’s Employment Initiative and is open to those with a criminal history and for those needing additional skills to find and retain employment. The program has 4 components: “Habits of Mind,” a life skills component; employability skills training that focuses on how to get the job and how to keep the job; a financial education program that addresses topics such as developing a spending plan and staying within it, banking products and the importance of a good credit history; RentWise, a tenant education class.

Workforce Prep Training
ENCAP has a contract with the Omaha Housing Authority (OHA) to provide a twice per week training for individuals who utilize one of the housing programs with OHA.
Pantry
The following ENCAP offices have a pantry on-site and the days and hours are as following:
ENCAP North, 2406 Fowler Ave, MWF 10 am-noon and 1pm-4pm; evening hours available on M&W until 6:00pm
ENCAP Bellevue, 1908 Hancock Street, M-F 8am-4pm
Provide monthly food distribution to the community. The food comes from the Omaha Food Bank. Typically, we would serve 5060 families per month.
Emergency Assistance
ENCAP uses $10,000 per year from CSBG to provide emergency assistance for consumers. This money can be used for any emergency if the applicant is not over 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. ENCAP can provide emergency financial assistance for customers that meet certain criteria. To determine if you may qualify call:

• ENCAP also receives money from FEMA to provide rental/mortgage assistance for consumers living in Douglas County and for rental/mortgage assistance and utility assistance for consumers living in Sarpy County.
Service Point
ENCAP is under contract with the state to enter data into Service Point, Nebraska's Management Information System (NMIS).
Computer Lab at ENCAP North
The lower level houses ENCAP's Community Computer Lab. This is open to the public, accessed by the youth in the After school program. The computer lab is open to the community Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. A free computer class is offered Mondays-Thursdays from 11am-1pm
Holiday Programs at the North and South Omaha offices ENCAP is a distributor of the Omaha World Herald Goodfellow’s vouchers every November. Participants receive a voucher in December to purchase food for the holiday. The voucher amount is based on the number in the household. ENCAP is a sign up agency for the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tots program. Sign up occurs in November.
South Omaha office Olga Kordash is the case manager for the South Omaha office She is housed in the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s clinic located at 5155 South 36 Street. Services provided at the south office include:

Carmen Bradley and Aubrey Mancuso are the case managers for the Bellevue office. They are housed in a city park in Bellevue, 1908 Hancock Street. Services provided at the Bellevue office include:
